Expedition Log | 418.E.102

Well, it turns out we might make that 20 day landfall estimate after all, or at the least we won’t miss it by much. Uriel woke me in the early morning hours to inform me that one of her sensor drones had detected massive life signs on the 4th satellite  of Gliese876c. Once she picked that up she routed more drones that way and swiftly discovered that the 4th moon was also the source of our mysterious distress beacon. We’ve been watching the data roll in all day. Heavy cloud cover. Very high oxygen content. Temps on the cool side of comfortable. Uriel is pretty sure we can breathe unassisted down there, although obviously we will start out in suits. Never know what we might find.

The commanding officer of our Republic Marine contingent, Lieutenant Price, is not happy. The high oxygen content makes any form of explosive or fire based weapon deployment unadvisable. I told him he and his men can rely on the new Kinetics, but he is an old soldier. He claims Kinetics don’t feel the same.
