Uriel’s estimates were spot-on, as usual. Arcoma was disrupted at the beginning of first shift, 87 days after last entry. The ship had already cut N-drive and we are inserted into our orbit over Gliese876c. This is a large, gaseous world with a number of satellites as well as a ring system! Uriel informs me the orbit will be challenging to maintain but she is confident in her abilities.
In a further development, Uriel deployed listening drones upon orbital insertion. Unfortunately, no trace of the signal can be discerned from Gliese876c. Several of the moons appear to have atmosphere, so the ship is re-targeting her drone array to sweep the full planetary sub-system.
We won’t be making that 20 day projection for landfall, I’m afraid. For now, I am going to go welcome Asuka and Jon out of arcoma. They are going to be very confused.
