Protest Logged by Lieutenant Joshua Price, Commanding Officer, E.R.S.S. Uriel Security Detail
I want this on the record. I am lodging a formal protest at the decision of Captain Mendelson to override my recommendation and restrict the use of firearms on Gliese876c:4. It’s insane to hamstring my security force this way. We have no intel about the situation on the ground here, and I do not consider Kinetic Weapons to provide the stopping power we could need in such an environment.
While it is technically within the Captain’s rights to make this call, by long tradition Captains defer to the local Security Commander in matters relating to the safety of the crew.
